Fr. Jojireddy Konkala was born on April 10, 1981, in Nusikottala Village, a small rural village in the state of Andhra Pradesh in South India, where his mother still lives. His father, who was a farmer, passed away in January 2021. He comes from an agricultural and loving family with two brothers and one sister; he is the third child in the family. From a young age, he felt the call of God in his life. After completing his 10th grade, he joined the seminary and began his journey of formation. He spent twelve years in the seminary studying Degree, philosophy and theology in preparation for the priesthood.

Fr. Joji was ordained a priest on April 19, 2010, by Anthony Poola, who now serves as a Cardinal of the Catholic Church in South India. Since his ordination, Fr. Joji has faithfully served the Church in several parishes in India and later in the United States.

Fr. Joji often says that every part of his priestly ministry fills him with joy. Celebrating the Eucharist, hearing confessions, visiting the sick, visiting families and listening to people’s struggles are moments where he experiences the beauty of his vocation. For him, being a priest means being close to people in their joys and sorrows, helping them grow in faith, and guiding them closer to God.

Fr. Joji is grateful for the opportunity to serve in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico. He served at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church from March 10, 2023, through May 31, 2024. He was then transferred to Clayton, New Mexico, where he has been serving since June 6, 2024, to the present day.

He is happy to be with his people in Clayton, NM. learning more about their hard work, their deep faith in God, and experiencing a vibrant community of faith. Fr. Joji looks forward to cherishing and nurturing the Church, building the community, and its mission. He invites everyone to be active participants in the life of the Church, to welcome all who are seeking the Lord, and to learn more about their faith through programs such as OCIA and Bible study. He hopes that this website and other initiatives will bring more people closer to God.
